We moved to our beautiful valley farm in the spring of 1994, but it wasn't
until 2007 that we finally decided on a name for it.  We received an
invitation to a special anniversary celebration of Buzzard Day in Hinkley,
Ohio, along with other Buzzard families residing in the state.  While extolling
the virtues of the magnificent Turkey Vulture, one of our hosts mentioned
that the Cherokee Indians called the bird "Peace Eagle" because it soars
high like an eagle but unlike an eagle never kills.  We immediately knew we
had found the perfect name for our Buzzard family farm!
What is a
Peace Eagle?
